Cartoon for painter and political activist Atena Farghadani

Atena was imprisoned for painting Iranian government officials as animals.

After reading Atena’s story I felt compelled to draw attention to her plight whilst exercising the freedom to draw political cartoons. Atena Farghadani peacefully protested against her Government through her art and was arrested, beaten and sentenced to over 12 years in prison. She has committed no crime.
