I’m delighted to share that Mair Perkins Ltd Animation and Illustration is now a proud member of the Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance 100 Club.

By pledging £100 a month, our business is helping to provide three-day food parcels for up to 240 children in Derby city over the next year. The 100 Club brings local businesses together to support families in need and to make sure no child in Derby goes to bed hungry.

It feels important to me that, as a small local business, I can give something back to the community I work and live in.

Food insecurity is a growing challenge, made worse by rising food prices and the impacts of climate heating. Extreme weather, droughts, floods and shifting seasons are disrupting harvests worldwide, driving up costs and putting extra strain on already struggling households globally and here in Derby.

Initiatives like the 100 Club provide practical, immediate help to people. By working together, we can support our community through these challenges while more systemic reforms are implemented such as wealth taxes to ensure everybody can afford to eat and does not need to rely on food banks.
