Eye Promise EZ Tears

Eye Promise are an eye vitamin company with a mission to fight vision loss and preserve healthy vision. The USA based company hired me to create an explainer animation and a 15 second You Tube advert for their product, EZ Tears which are vitamins to help relieve dry eyes.

The marketing team at Eye Promise provided a script and asked Dr Mile Brujic to record a voiceover. I adapted the script for animation and sketched a storyboard and animatic video. I also designed some animation style frames and character designs based on Eye Promise's branding guidelines to help visualise how the final video will look. As Dr Brujic narrated the video, we decided to create one of the character's in his likeness!

The next phase was illustrating the storyboards and preparing design assets for animation. Once the polished storyboards were approved by Eye Promise, we moved onto the animation phase.

Prior to animating, I built two character rigs for the After Effects animation using the rigging plugins Duik Bassel and Joy Sticks n Slider. This made the character animation process much more efficient and flexible. The bottle and vitamin pills were modelled, textured, lit, and animated in Cinema 4D then composited in After effects.

When the animation was complete, Eye Promise reviewed it and requested some revisions such as slowing down some scenes. After these changes were made and signed off, I created the 15 second You Tube edit.
