What parents of children with cancer say?

The Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group conducted a survey among parents of children with cancer. To present some of the results of the research, we produced this animation.  The video focuses on how friends and family of the parents can help.

The CCLG provided a script which informed the sketched storyboard and animatic video. As the project had a fast turnaround of two weeks, we used a minimal, flat design style. As the video's primary platform was social media, we opted for motion text instead of a voiceover to communicate the messages. This also allowed more script editing flexibility later on in production.

The animation was used as part of the #BeAChildCancerFriend awareness campaign / PSA in September 2018 to encourage more support for parents of children with cancer.

We also created a Christmas version of the video which was released in December 2018.
