Children’s Book “Chocolate & Carrots”

Chocolate and Carrots is a children's story written by Max Mcloughlin for his daughter to try and persuade her to eat a healthy balanced diet, rather than just toast. Pipkin is a girl who wants top eat nothing but chocolate and Sophie the rabbit wants to eat nothing but carrots. They both learn the importance of balance.

Max wanted to approach some children's book publishers with the story so required some illustrations and the page layout design for the pitch. The whole story has not been illustrated but some sample pages were created. These demonstrate the style and feel of the book. The art work style is inspired by classic children's literature such as Beatrix Potter and A. A. Milne but with a modern Japanese anime twist.
